Super Bowl Weekend

So I am neither fan of Colts nor Saints but I do like American Football quite a lot,ice hockey is my favorite though.To watch in front of a tv screen, yes, American Football is a keeper. Dear Alexander, I need to look great to sit in front of my tv, would you send me some of these fab pieces to be presentable for the occasion? --probably use designer clothes to just sit in front of your tv would be a sin lol, but I bet there are people who can afford such sins, right?

Happy weekend

I have been planning new DIY projects and I can't wait to show you the progress but I can't start anything until I get the corresponding supplies,how do I feel about this? ANNOYED but then again I have a "business" of my own and it's true that you can't control the timing regarding shippings. Another thing I wanted to tell you about is that I will start again writing in english and spanish like I tried before but please be patient, I am really lazy and sometimes when you're a bit on a hurry can't write things twice. Have a lovely weekend and it would be really awesome if all the visitors that are registered in the country counter would leave me at least a "hi" just so I know you're real and not just part of my imagination. He estado planeando varios proyectos DIY y no puedo esperar para comenzar y enseñarles algunas imágenes del progreso pero eso no lo podré hacer hasta que reciba el material..es bastante molesto si me lo preguntan, ya que no soy mucho de esperar a que sucedan las cosas aunque debo entender un poco más ésto ya que sé lo que es no tener control absoluto en los tiempos de envío. Trataré de volver a escribir en ambos idiomas porque hay ocasiones en que me siento malinchista al sólo escribir en inglés, aunque siempre me he sentido con más confianza al escribir en inglés además de que la "inspiración" llega más rápido en otro idioma, que tontito no? y bueno, es algo más tardado escribir doble pero al fin yo hablo español y es justo que mi blog lo tenga. Espero se la pasen muy bien en lo que decidan invertir su tiempo este fin de semana. Remember I made Frida Gustavsson my Girl Crush for December because of her angelical face and natural beauty? Most link Frida to the image of a lovely teenager-looking young woman but she has demonstrate she is here to stay thanks to her model skills,because as once Sasha Pivovarova said "I can be anything they want", and that's what a good model is about, is a sort of acting, you have to be able to channel your beauty into different characters, the angelical statuesque figure, the classy Parisian woman,the sexy kitten, the fantasy character. Arty rings

I bet most of girls are in love with YSL arty rings and I am sure you will love these too. While looking through my favorite items I crossed with a lovely turquoise ring I saved a while ago because of its resemblance with YSL's. It's the creation of Pınar Sondal, an architect and mother of two children from Pennsylvania who currently lives in Istanbul. Her jewelry collection has the most lovely and eclectic pieces and the best of all, they're pretty reasonably priced.

February's Girl Crush

While deciding who my girl crush for February should be, I was thinking about Zoe Saldana's fab look on every red carpet she's been since the premiere of Avatar.But while looking for photos I crossed my path with this website that was announcing a contest to get 2 lucky friends to NY Fashion Week this February and then I thought that I couldn't make her the Girl Crush for this month and also participate because then it would look as if I chose her only because she is like the spokesperson of that blog...but then I thought why can't I make her February's Girl Crush for my blog? I mean it's mine right? So I decided to choose her despite participating on this thing that I probably won't even win because I don't live in the United States. FML. Here are some pictures I took from this amazing blog (read footnotes on pictures) because now I'm feeling too lazy to find more.




Now, can you blame me for not changing my choice in the end? She has had such an amazing year style-wise.

I simply love this photo. I guess that man next Tavi it's Tavi's dad because the both look very much alike. I love his expression, it's like a mix of fascination, surprise and tender fatherly look (if it's her dad of course) if not it's only a tender look haha and what about Tavi? OMG! she looks really great with that blue hair and she looks like a fashion editor already.I imagine her as someone as Diane Pernet. And yes, envy much! Who wouldn't want that exciting life at 13? You are treated like someone with good ideas despite your age (we know how opinionated people tend to be when you are a teenager), visit new cities and meet amazingly creative people.

My good bye to the winter.

February hasn't even started and the weather is as if it was spring. We had glorious days of quite cold weather a week ago but suddenly weather got..nicer. I know most of the people don't enjoy winter or fall, they prefer summer and the sunny days. I am not in that group, I actually love having to be covered in layers of clothing, chilly wind against my skin and feeling my hands numb(I love dairy's or meat's sections at super markets because they're always cold) I'm telling you, I was born in the wrong country.Don't misunderstand me, I am glad I belong to such country, we have lovely places to visit and delicious food but still...the weather is all wrong!

Momsen: You look over 25 but I'm loving it.

Something I'm always complaining about is that the GG stylists never seem to choose the right shoes for her, I usually adore what she wears on set (yes, what I'm saying here is that you can easily see when she styled herself,it's not as chic as when paparazzis take pictures of her walking through the NY streets while shooting GG) but tend to find the footwear choices wrong. She looks brilliant here though.Perfect shoes, make-up, clothes. I DIE. I thank the person who decided to add the hair extensions and you should thank your parents for giving you such amazing ultra long legs that all us girls envy, now you only need to change your "I'm too good for anyone" attitude during interviews and I will officially add you to my girl crush list.

Pre-birthday present

Like most of you, I've been lusting after the YSL arty ring since Alexa Chung wore it a couple of times in her now canceled show "It's on" (MTV,I regret this decision) and months after while lots of models, bloguettes and fashion icons acquired one or even two and showed them everywhere. After an exhaustive search and decision between spending my savings or not and the color/size I wanted I ended up getting mine in turquoise.Though I loved the coral one too I was not very sure as it looks too orangey in some photos and pinkish coral in other ,so yes Alexa,you won.



I must confess that when I opened the box and saw it,I felt a bit disappointed as I imagined it even bigger and way heavier than it actually is and I was not so sure about the color,so I was thoroughly thinking whether to re-sell and get the coral instead. Hours passed and I am unconditionally in love with the little devil. As my birthday is in two months and I never celebrate it and rarely people get me something, I decided to give me something and what's better than a little designer piece? It will probably be my only designer piece for the next 5 years until I get a decent job and all that jazz but who cares,I'm in love babe.

These past, let's say 5 days,have been quite cold for every city standards.I love cold weather,I won't deny I complain about being cold but in a rather different tone of voice than when I'm about to melt and become part of the pavement. I am inspired by asymmetry and layers of black or gray clothing. I can't wait to show you my Rodarte inspired cardi but I barley have time to upload some inspirational photos and answer all the e-mails and finish back orders. I am grateful for this but I have no idea how I'm going to deal with all this when I get back to uni! D:

Girl crush of the Month: Tao Okamoto

Lately, I am obsessed with everything that's related to Japan so it's no wonder why I had to choose a Japanese model to be my girl crush of the month. Tao Okamoto is a 22 year old currently dubbed as a "rising star".She made her first runway debut in Paris in 2006.

I think she so beautiful and has that gorgeous silky hair that I adore from Asian girls (no matter what country in Asia, all have that silky hair that never needs a straightener *envy*).
